These self-portraits are part of a series done with grey and white cut paper. Each piece is an emotive and dramatically lit portrait, minimally defined by the composition's light and dark edges. The series explores a diversity of emotion, drawn from experiences while unearthing personal history with trauma from sexual assault. Rage, pain, empowerment, and confrontation feature prominently in the healing process, and are expressed through these self portraits.
