MAKING SAFE + HOME

​These paintings recognize quiet, and sometimes common experiences of people together in the wilderness: a summer’s swim, or a walk in the woods.  They are about capturing and taking notice of the value in time spent outdoors.  The people and places chosen for these compositions are personally significant, and essential to the work’s expressive rendering.  With active mark and color, I hope to accentuate the vitality of the woods, and the vividness of fond memory.
